Another Side of Thakura Bhaktivinoda
How the Paramparā Reaches Gaura and Krishna Līlā (English Edition) Kindle Edition

This book presents Gaudiya Vaishnava dharma in a way that is rarely discussed in our modern times, that of rāgānugā bhakti in its many aspects. This essential sādhanā was given to us by Gauranga Mahaprabhu and His closest associates, and here we may see how the process descends through the line of Thakura Bhaktivinoda beginning with Ananga Manjari in Vraja and Vishnupriya devi in Navadvipa.

Although Bhaktivinoda had 13 children, only two of his sons became exemplary Vaishnavas. The first was Bimala prasada, who later became famous as Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura. He preached widely, established many maths and mandiras, and today he is a highly revered Acarya within the Gaudiya Math and ISKCON.

Yet, Bhaktivinoda's second Vaishnava son, Lalita Prasada, represents another side of the Thakura's ancient heritage. This is because Bhaktivinoda initiated him into his unbroken manjari paramparā that begins with Ananga Manjari. Thus by following Kamal Manjari (his father's manjari svarupa) and the parivāra's other manjari members, he became sādhanā siddha (as Lata Manjari) and entered Radha Krishna's nitya līlā in 1980 at the age of 101. Prabhu was an ideal example for us, as he daily chanted 3 lakhs of Harinama japa along with his svārasikī līlā smaran.

Lalita Prasada Thakura's disciple Gadadhar pran has been researching this paramparā's lost treasures for many years. He has made some invaluable discoveries which can greatly benefit the readers of this book.
Gadadhar-ji lives in a remote forest kunja beside the Ganga at Mayapura, where he performs intense sādhanā, and eagerly wishes to share his bhajan experiences with anyone who wishes to sincerely listen.
